The vjoon Overset Manager plug-in for Adobe InDesign and Adobe InCopy CS2 & CS3 and CS4 gives you complete control over text length and text overset, enabling you to count, display, edit and print overset text. vjoon Overset Manager is the ideal tool for everybody dealing with text-intensive files on a regular basis. The plug-in now offers the possibility of using 5 different languages: German, English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, and user guides are available in the five languages too. With vjoon Overset Manager you can choose to automatically show or hide overset frames for the selected text flow or all text flows on the page. The overset frames are attached to the bottom right corner of the text frame or to the last text frame of a text flow. They are highlighted with a light yellow background colour. The background colour makes it easy to spot instances of text overset on an InDesign file, thus helping to prevent costly mistakes. By counting placeholder text, vjoon Overset Manager allows you to determine the exact text length needed to fill a text flow in order to give correct instructions to an editor. vjoon Overset Manager calculates text length by number of characters, words, lines and manuscript lines. The length of manuscript lines is set in the Overset Manager preferences. By setting the preferences to a decimal number, e.g. 5.5, it is also possible to calculate the number of standard words needed to fill the text frame. You can measure the length of text in the current selection, text column or text flow, and see values for the text that fits in the text frames as well as for overset text, separately. The vjoon Overset Manager palette allows you to measure the current text selection against the remaining amount of overset text for easy and precise copyfitting. vjoon Overset Manager can be used with InDesign or with InCopy. While InCopy provides editors with statistical information and allows to edit overset text in Galley and Story view, vjoon now brings these important features to the Layout view, where the editor can see the exact design as it appears on the InDesign page. Notes Manager The vjoon Notes Manager plug-in will totally change the way you work with inline notes in Adobe InDesign and Adobe InCopy. Editorial staff will communicate more efficiently using notes, as displaying and navigating notes is made easier and faster. The plug-in now offers the possibility of using 5 different languages: German, English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, and user guides are available in the five languages too. The standard InDesign and InCopy notes feature enables users to create and edit in-line notes for their own reference or in order to exchange information with other users. The Adobe notes palette displays one note at a time and allows the user to browse notes in the order in which they appear in the text. vjoon Notes Manager enhances this functionality with its own palette. vjoon Notes Manager offers filters for displaying notes created by a specific user, or notes edited within a certain timeframe. Search results can be sorted in multiple steps by author, note content, date of creation and date of last modification, offering a quick overview of all relevant notes. You can see at a glance, for example, what notes your co-worker added to the file the previous day. What is more, vjoon Notes Manager also makes it easier to navigate within the document. Clicking on an entry in the vjoon Notes Manager palette selects the corresponding notes anchor on the page and vice versa. Double clicking an entry in the vjoon Notes Manager palette will open the standard Adobe notes palette where you can edit or delete the note, or convert it to text. In an editorial environment, where several people collaborate on the same text over time, vjoon Notes Manager will quickly become an indispensible tool for reliably and efficiently exchanging suggestions and instructions. vjoon Notes Manager is designed to fully support workflows based on Adobe’s InCopy Bridge plug-ins as well as vjoon’s K4 Publishing System. |
