When is your order processed? Orders are processed between Monday and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Mountain Standard Time, by a staff member of ThePowerXChange. Except in the case of products marked with [IMM] in the title, this means that your order is processed by a person who will read your order and ensure that there are no outstanding issues (such as missing serial numbers or incorrect email addresses). If they have any questions, they will email you or call you. Once all has been resolved, they will order your product from the manufacturer and deliver it to you.
Why don't we stock the software we sell? ThePowerXChange is a very unique distributor -- we try to offer the most comprehensive range of commercial extensions products in the world. We carry products for which we have one sale every couple of years. Most companies would not bother with these, but we find value in being able to assist customers with their most obscure production needs. Given this, it is impossible for us to stock every product. Most products would go through several revisions before we sold the it. That would mean you would receive outdated product, and that's not the solution either. For the most popular items, we do stock the product, but for others, please bear with us while we work to fulfill your order quickly.
How long will your order take? We have over 2,000 extensible solutions listed on our pages, and these products come from every corner of the world. Most extensions developers are very small companies. Working across these time zones, and often with companies of just one person, means that your order might be delayed.
- A product marked as [IMM] in the title will be delivered to you nearly immediately -- as soon as your credit card information is verified.
- A product marked as [ESD] in the title will be posted to our FTP site and you will receive an email notifying you that it is ready for download. This nearly always happens within one day, but may take longer if we must order from the manufacturer. We will notify you of the expected delivery date.
- A product marked as [CD-ROM] in the title is a physical shipment. If it is a product we stock, it will ship the same day. If we must order from the manufacturer, the order may take up to five days. We will notify you of the expected delivery date.
Other things to keep in mind about electronic deliveries Products identified as ESD are serial numbers, activation codes, links, or attachments delivered to your email address or posted to an FTP site. We try to deter fraud and unauthorized use of your credit card, so we use these guidelines for delivery of these products, installers, and/or serial numbers:
- Serial numbers -- and in some cases, attachments -- will be emailed one time to the address specified when you place an order.
- The email address on the order must in some way match the person or company placing the order.
- For example: John Smith with ABC Company must have an email address that we can identify as likely belonging to the purchaser or receiver.
jsmith@some_isp.net
john@abc_company.com
js@abc.com
mary_jones@abc_company.com
- Purchasing agents may choose to have the order emailed to a company employee as long as the company name is part of the email address as described above.

How will you know? We will notify you if your product is not expected to be delivered on the same day. We want to do all we can to enable you to meet your deadlines.
What about the demos? Many manufacturers now create demos that are fully functional for a short period of time. We encourage you to download this demo and get started right away. Your validation code or full product will be delivered as soon as we receive it.
Why do upgrades take longer? Online upgrade orders are processed manually to confirm upgrade eligibility. For this reason, upgrade orders may require up to five business days. We understand that this can be difficult while you are trying to meet deadlines, but many upgrades require interaction on behalf of the manufacturer -- more than just sending us a validation code. In some cases, they will actually create a product that is pre-serialized to your very specific order.
If you have not ever registered your software, this may further delay your order. Most upgrades require the serial number of the product you wish to upgrade. You will shorten your processing time by providing this serial number in the comments field of the order form.
Credit-card fraud We employ a number of techniques to prevent you from being affected by credit-card fraud. One way is that those paying by credit card must provide the exact billing address of the credit-card statement in the Bill To section of the ordering information. Another is that we do not edit, change, or add to your order information once you have placed the order. On the other hand, we want to be sure that you get the software you have ordered, so if you have questions, please do contact us.
Spam filters and firewalls We do all that we can to ensure you will receive your software, but we cannot control your spam filters or firewalls. With that in mind, please take a moment now to ensure that emails from our domain (thepowerxchange.com) are marked as safe by your email system. If you do not receive an order confirmation from us with a few minutes of your order, you may be blocking our communications. In this event, your order will likely be blocked as well. If you have any concerns, please phone or emails us using the information below.
- ALTERNATE DELIVERY: If you have a spam filter or firewall that prevents us from sending you notifications or attachments, we will, when possible, send your activation codes and links via fax, to the number you have provided on the order form. If you do not provide a fax number, we will mail, when possible, the activation codes and links.
What will we share? We know that sometimes you will have questions about your order, but we also must do our best to protect our customers and registered owners of software. We will not provide any customer-proprietary information over the phone, including, but not limited to credit-card information, email addresses, or buyer's information. We will, however, be happy to send certain information to the email address used when placing the order.
At no time will we provide credit card information in any form. |
