StripitXT prepares QuarkXPress documents for archiving in minutes. No more extracting page by page. Fast and efficient, StripitXT saves text and pictures into folders, which are easily accessed by searchable databases. Not only does the XTensions module work with Latin text, it is the only XTensions module to extract Arabic-language text for archiving. StripitXT presents a total solution for the newspaper and magazine industries, in particular. Unlike any other XTensions module, StripitXT links headers with text during extracting to maintain proper sequencing of information. Further, during extracting StripitXT saves the date of publication, issue number, and page number inside text files. Databases automatically load this information when a search is performed. StripitXT adds a new submenu to the QuarkXPress utilities menu which allows the user to choose default or unique preference settings, to request a StripitXT folder, to extract a PICT preview of an entire page, a PICT preview of every picture box on the page, a text file containing the full path, the name of every picture on the page, and a text file containing the text of all text boxes on the page. The user is given a range of pre-archiving options, because StripitXT's extensive preferences have been well studied. The user determines which items and how much of each document to extract. The user also has a variety of choices for the final archive of documents, the scale of the PICT preview, exceptions, and article separators, among others. Default and saving options have never made extracting easier or more effective.
