Quite Hot Imposing was designed to be a very intuitive and easy to use imposition powerhouse. Quite Hot Imposing uses XML instruction sets to create reusable imposition sequences that completely automate the historically manual process of creating press-ready impositions. Current users of Quite Imposing Plus are able to export their existing setups (XML) for use by Quite Hot Imposing. Quite Hot Imposing can be set up to run as a standalone hot folder application, be integrated within a Switch workflow or automated by system integrators using the command-line interface included with the product. Quite worked very closely with Enfocus to ensure their customers can integrate Quite Hot Imposing with the Enfocus Switch range of workflow automation products. Built on the rock solid foundations of the Quite Imposing Plus plug-in and the Adobe® Acrobat® PDF Library™, this incredibly versatile workflow product will not only save all of a user's setups but it will also be able to repeat all functions as needed. Quite Hot Imposing lets users set up multiple hot folders and each setup is made up of four different folders: · IN folder: PDF files to be processed are submitted into this folder.
· OUT folder: The resulting file, an imposed layout, is put here by Quite Hot Imposing after processing. The name will be the same as the original file.
· DONE folder: The original file is moved here, unchanged. This is done so that no files are destroyed and the file will only be moved to done when processing is successful.
· ERROR folder: If a document cannot be processed, files which fail are moved to error.
Users can work from a central control window and view the status of jobs at a glance with clear information provided. They can also customize the at-a-glance view by enabling or disabling various options. At the heart of the hot folder tool is a robust command line tool for high power workflows. Users can: · Create customized workflows using either hotfolder or command-line tools
· Work easily with PDF files integrated into an automatic workflow
· Save time by quickly setting up a queue using the Express Setup button
· Handle multiple hot folder set ups each doing different imposition jobs
XML support XML has become the industry-standard way of transferring information between programs, so it was a natural choice for describing imposition tasks in Quite Hot Imposing.
