Xtags provides an enhanced version of the XPress Tags language supported by QuarkXPress. Both XPress Tags and Xtags import plain text files into QuarkXPress as fully formatted text, using special formatting codes embedded in the text file; and you can also export formatted text within a QuarkXPress document via both XPress Tags and Xtags. Except as noted in the manual, all XPress Tags constructs are supported by Xtags.

The XTWonderPack is made of two basic XTensions modules containing several modules: WonderBlend and WonderText.

WonderBlend includes:

· convert to produce high-quality color separation inside QuarkXPress. Any TIFF, PICT, or Photoshop RGB image is converted to high-quality CMYK images with full control of the black plate.

· montage to build composites of up to 64 layers of images in RGB or real CMYK. Every layer has its own set of density masking and montage enables work on very high-resolution images with full pan and zoom provided and with limited amount of RAM memory.

· brushes offers a set of powerful brush-on raster images inside QuarkXPress such as clone, etch, and noise. It also lets users work inside QuarkXPress on RGB or CMYK images of any size with limited amounts of RAM.

· clip provides a full set of paths tools to create precision clipping paths on RGB or CMYK, and lets users pan and zoom on any image to create precise clipping paths which are directly accessible as silhouetted images inside QuarkXPress.

The interface has been designed for straightforward and simple manipulations. Buttons guide the user, even beginners, to add very complex effects immediately to a title or a graphic. WonderText features a very large preview and an advanced zoom and pan to preview one effect at any level of detail without really applying it. A set of commands allows users to tune any parameter of the effect to be applied: changing a color, an angle, a feather, or a gradient is very easy. Any new effect can also be saved and incorporated to the current library for future reuse.
