Keeping track of document revisions isn't easy, and every time a document is printed out it adds to the puzzling paper trail around the office. There's no need to wonder whose document is coming out of the printer. Why is this JobSlug Pro and not just a 6.0 upgrade of JobSlug? JobSlug Pro has the following enhancements over JobSlug:

• Individual JobSlug information can be applied to a text box.

• TimeStamp is incorporated into JobSlug Pro.

• Option to have labels excluded.

• Job Information tracking.

• Seven customizable data fields.

• Visual Indicators allow you to easily identify JobSlugs.

• JobSlugs can be locked to certain computers that allow the JobSlug to be updated only when it is on certain computers.

JobSlug Pro is a new way of creating job slugs for your jobs. JobSlug Pro attaches a self-updating slug to a QuarkXPress document that includes the last time a file was modified, when it was last output, and which fonts and colors were used in the document. The slug updates whenever the document is printed so the information that appears on your printed copy is as current as possible. JobSlug Pro enables the user to attach full slugs containing job information to text boxes or to create slugs with selection document information.

JobSlug Pro can display these items:

• user-defined data about the project;

• client name;

• job number;

• job name;

• artist name;

• job-in date;

• due date;

• notes;

• document data extracted from the project;

• imported graphics;

• time of last print;

• fonts used;

• spot colors;

• time of last save;

• project or document name; and

• seven user-definable fields for custom data.

JobSlug Pro includes a template for entering job data in one convenient dialog. Job-information management is easy with JobSlug Pro, and it incorporates another Vision's Edge XTensions module, TimeStamp, making it useful for adding formatted data and a time stamp to a text box. Time stamps update only when the document is saved. JobSlugs' slugs can be simple, unformatted text boxes that require little set up or they can be complex layouts incorporating individual JobSlug data.
