QuarkXPress automatically creates facing pages in reader's spreads format. Page two faces page three, just as the pages appear in the final publication. This is the easiest way to edit text as the user can view entire spreads at one time, but when it comes time to output a saddle-stitched publication the document needs to be rearranged into printer's spreads format. Bookletizer XTensions module rearranges reader's spreads document into printer's spreads document for final output. With Bookletizer, converting a document from reader's spreads to printer's spreads is as easy as a menu command in QuarkXPress. Adjust for creep to ensure gutter margins of longer documents remain consistent. Bookletizer converts document back to reader's spreads just as easily to facilitate additional editing while viewing it the way the reader will.Bookletizer also includes a tab for the print dialog that enables the printing of selected spreads for documents that have been processed through Bookletizer.Click the Resources tab above for related articles and other information on this topic.Manufacturer: Vision’s Edge, Inc.
