J2SEditor enables the user to sort files and add or modify textual IPTC metadata of graphics files without affecting the documents (e.g., the caption of a JPEG file can be updated without re-compression of the document). With its drag-and-drop capabilities, it can process selected documents with external applications or AppleScripts.J2SEditor is designed to help edit the picture IPTC caption. Edit files one at a time or in a batch. This is particularly useful when a user needs to edit a set of pictures with the same information as in the IPTC field.J2SEditor saves captions in native IPTC envelopes or in XML files and uses them later. For speed, optionally copy and paste descriptions from one file to another.J2SEditor relies on description profiles which contain the list of fields to edit as well as various input controls. It allows the system administrator to provide each user with a specific profile.J2SEditor features an image browser to easily manage files. Along with other useful features, view pictures located in folders according to their color profile, copy or move them from one folder to another, or remove them from a hard disk. An inspector window enables the user to quickly read the IPTC, EXIF data, or more general information on the selected file.J2SEditor features a toolbar for direct access to internal tools (e.g., edition, rotation, and FTP box), and other folders or applications.
