PhotoFixLens 2.0 is a Plug-In for all applications on Windows or MacOS 9 and native for OS X that support Photoshop Plug-ins. PhotoFixLens will correct all sorts of wide-angle distortions, such as pin cushion and barrel.Barrel distortion is associated with wide angle (or minimal zoom) lenses and causes the images to appear spherical (curved outward). It is most noticeable when straight edges appear near the side of the image. Conversely, the pincushion distortion is associated with telephoto lenses (or maximum zoom) and causes the images to appear pinched (bent inward) toward the center. The pincushion effect is often less noticeable than barreling.Most digital and compact-film cameras suffer from these types of distortions, especially when a wide-angle lens is used. Most consumer digital cameras have unacceptable lens distortions which shows disturbingly often on architectural and similar shots.
