The XT Batch process is based upon scripts. A script contains macros and/or commands. When batch processing plain text, for instance, the document will be transformed into a complete layout by adding style sheets and empty lines. Furthermore, XT Batch can make decisions based on an input file and subsequently perform calculations and modifications according to the data.XT Batch can also directly process WordPerfect DOS files. It is, for example, possible to translate Russian WordPerfect files into the right font and set of characters in QuarkXPress.
