When a picture is placed, the entire picture file is often read into the DTP program. In this case, large picture files will block the layout stations and overload the network. But for layouts and page composition, "scaled down" i.e. low-resolution pictures are sufficient. OPI_Swapper quickly and efficiently swaps OPI layout data for OPI high-resolution data and vice versa, and swapping is possible for several documents at once, for a complete document or by frames. As needed, low or high-resolution data can be loaded by a mouse click in documents. Features:

You define your Helios Ethershare setting and assign picture comments in the preferences. The data entered here are allowed for in low and high-resolution data interchange. OPI_Swapper supports all common Open Prepress Interface solutions:
- Helios Ethershare "layouts" setting
- Helios Ethershare ".lay" setting
- low-resolution data folder Information on low-resolution data folder
The name of the low-resolution data folder can be freely selected and entered in the field for the " low-resolution data " setting. Using high-resolution data information
The check box is active and is evaluated if the Helios Ethershare "layouts" setting has been selected. If the picture path for the low or high-resolution data is invalid, the picture comment of the low-resolution data picture loaded is evaluated upon activation of this setting. This picture information also allows for other factors such as any changes in the file name of the low-resolution data picture which may have been made. The Helios picture path to the high-resolution data picture assigned is included and is then taken into account in any new assignment. Assigning picture comment
OPI_Swapper "links" the information on the high-resolution data path to the low-resolution data pictures in your document through a picture comment. When your documents with the low-resolution data are returned to you after the layout has been finished, the high-resolution data can be reassigned through the picture comments. The picture comments are evaluated so that the pictures can be reassigned by OPI_Swapper. If any picture data with an invalid path are loaded in the document, the Helios Volume is swapped for the System Volume in the current picture path in accordance with the preferences. The Helios Ethershare setting currently activated is then applied. OPI_Swapper provides you with an overview of all picture frames in the document, with information of the current picture status, the paths to the low and high-resolution data and information on which files are actually available and which ones are missing. The low and high-resolution data swap can now be carried out at once for all documents opened. If the picture swap is also to be applied to master pages, the check box for the relevant setting must be activated in the Preferences. Advantages of OPI_Swapper at a Glance:
