To join the Layouts is one Plug-In for Adobe Illustrator Joins paths with ending points that fall within a configurable distance. JoinPaths closes paths and suppresses isolated points in Adobe Illustrator or Macromedia Freehand. All paths with at least one point selected are analyzed and joined if one or more selected paths are within the specified distance. It binds layouts whose extreme points are touched or are close, to a skeletal distance. This functionality applies to the selected layouts, whatever the tool for selection used, i.e. that so only one point of a layout is selected, this layout is considered as a whole selected. It can also join the extreme points of a layout closes but not closed, whose two ends are superimposed but nondependent. That makes it possible to take again drawings generated automatically by other software or illustrations badly concues. That regulates also a problem of Illustrator which sometimes refuses to join two points. It was concu in the beginning to take again layouts generated automatically by drafting packages technical, exported in DXF and reconverted in Illustrator. With Adobe Illustrator 6, 7, 8 and 10 (under OS X) a pallet allows a faster access to the functions To join the Layouts. It is this version whose demonstration is downloadable. It does not function with Adobe Illustrator 5.0. The preceding version remains available on request. Versions compatible with Adobe Illustrator 9 and 10 (OS 9 or OS X) are also available.
