CtrlLayers is a plug-in for InDesign users that require a smart and clever solution to expand the usage of working with layers. Art directors and graphic designers will, at an early stage of a project for example, be able to share a layer to new document and put translators to work, then later on bring the layer back into the original document, knowing it will fit. Just like InDesign users are used to being able to import color swatches from an InDesign document, CtrlLayers will give you the same ability to import layers from other InDesign documents. After installing CtrlLayers, users will find two new options in their InDesign layers panel: New document from visible layers - choosing this option, users simply make sure the layers they would like to include in the new document are visible and hide all layers they do not want to be included. They then choose the "New document from visible layers" option from InDesign's Layers panel and a new document will be created ready for use. Import layer(s) from file - With any document open, the users simply selects the "Import layer(s) from file" option in the InDesign Layers panel. A browser window will open and let them choose the InDesign file they would like to import the layer from. Key Features
