BureauManager XTensions module is the definitive and ultimate tool to easily and completely prepare a job for delivery to a service bureau. It quickly extracts information from the original document to determine which fonts (screen and printer) and high-resolution graphics are required to be copied. It also has a built-in auto find utility that will search for any missing graphics. The XTensions module incorporates a powerful document-report generator which enables the user to choose from over 100 document attributes on which to report. These include general document information, picture- and text-box attributes, fonts, colors, style-sheet details, and many more. With a file mover option, the user can select a file and specify the destination disc and/or folder to where the file will be copied. The file and all its linked files (including DCS files if required) will be transferred. When moving or copying a file, the user may select to also move the QuarkXPress preferences file and any other required auxiliary files at the same time. If any linked graphics are missing or modified, the XTensions module provides an auto find utility which is a high-performance search tool that will search through predefined volumes or folders for the missing graphics. The user can completely control the process by specifying default search paths. When moving files, the XTensions module will also optionally present a special-instructions dialog which allows the user to direct the service bureau in choices of print medium, film setting, screen-line settings, and resolution. Popup menus for instructing the service bureau as to the priority of the job and trapping instructions are also available as well as shipping and general-comment fields. As part of the special instructions, the user may include such information as company details, the system, and QuarkXPress environments. All items in the special-instructions dialog are user configurable, therefore, the user has complete control over what options appear in the popup menus. The report generator comes with 12 predefined document reports. Each of these can be easily modified to include the exact document report details required.
