Elpical Claro Premedia provides a complete image processing workflow for printers, publishers and online communication companies that require fast processing of high volumes of images while achieving cost reduction and improved quality. Through the Claro Individual Image Analysis, Claro Premedia individually analyses each image for a range of specific parameters and then enhances the image for highest-quality resultsÉ even images inside a PDF. Claro Premedia also automates other image or photo processing tasks such as intelligent ICC-based DeviceLink conversions or file format conversions. The Elpical Claro JobClient for InDesign® offers seamless integration of the Claro Premedia workflow into InDesign. The Claro Inspector for Photoshop® allows side-by-side viewing of original and processed image versions. The new Claro Settings Assistant offers an easy-to-use desktop environment for creating, modifying and personalising settings. Claro Premedia is easily integrated in nearly any editorial or production automation system. New in Claro 8 Precise management of natural blues, greens and skin tones for publication. In Claro 8, sky blues, grass greens and skin tones are made to look much closer to reality (or to the individually taste of the user) than ever before. Claro specifically recognises natural greens, blues and skin tones in an image and treats those differently from other objects in the same image to obtain even more natural results for both print and electronic display. Further specific publication-centric adjustments to hue, saturation and brightness settings can now easily be adjusted to the user's specific market needs. Claro Settings Assistant lets you easily control vital image optimisation settings. The new Claro Settings Assistant offers an easy-to-use environment for creating, modifying and personalising settings, without the immediate and direct need for hands-on, expert setup. Optimised setting results are immediately displayed in the drag-and-drop interface. Settings are initially created from scratch or imported from the available channels on the production server. After Claro completes analysis and relevant customisation, these settings are exported as an xml file, for import into Claro Premedia. Two important contrast advancements Preserve contrast in images through an optional brightness correction curve. With standard brightness curve limitations, dark areas are often brightened more than the lighter parts of an image, resulting in lower contrast. By using Claro's optional brightness correction curve, only the image's mid-tones are manipulated, resulting in image brightness adjustment that does not affect the overall contrast of the image. Isolate contrast manipulation to protect colour and hue through "contrast in luminosity-mode" Contrast manipulation in images often causes unwanted side-effects: such as colours becoming too saturated, or even complete colour changes. To combat these and other problems, Claro now offers the advanced "contrast in luminosity mode" feature to isolate contrast manipulation from colour manipulation, and thereby protect colour and hue integrity. Red eye reduction Claro's newest red eye detection gives you the standard choice to reject, inspect or even immediately correct the red eye. Combined with an extra option to specify that detection is only needed when a flash function has been utilised, optimisation errors are reduced significantly. |
